Fraudster booked for usurping temple property

JAMMU, Feb 18: Crime Branch Jammu has booked a fraudster for usurping temple property by executing fake rent deed.
An FIR has been registered against P L Chaku of Karan Nagar, Srinagar, at present W No 58 opposite Navdeep School Paloura, Jammu, for executing fake and fabricated rent deed of a building, which is the property of Shri Ram Mandir at Bagh-e-Sunder Balla Chattabal, Srinagar.
The action has been taken on the complaint of   Hirday Nath of Talab Tillo, Jammu, president Bhora Mandir Committee, who alleged that P L Chaku had occupied   building of the temple, which is under the supervision of Bhora Mandir Committee, where he had been running a school under the name & style “Lotus Public School” but till date had not paid any rent.
It was further alleged that accused person had executed fake and fraudulent rent deeds with some other persons without the consent/permission of the Committee and thus has caused wrongful loss to the Mandir Committee etc.
During the course of enquiry, it was found that accused P L Chaku had prepared and executed a fake and fabricated rent deed on 14.03.2012 purportedly signed by one Amar Nath Bazaz as landlord, whereas the said Amar Nath Bazaz had died on 12.01.2012, intentionally in order to cheat and usurp the property and cause wrongful loss to the Mandir Committee and wrongful gain to himself.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 10/2015 under Section 420, 465, 467, 471 RPC was registered in Crime Branch, Jammu and further investigation has been taken up.
