JAMMU, Feb 19: Police today recovered explosive material including four detonators and six gelatin sticks from Painthal Nullah, about six kilometers from holy town of Katra in Reasi district.
DIG Udhampur-Reasi range Surinder Gupta said police have seized four detonators and six gelatin sticks from Painthal Nullah in Katra and were examining the devices.
Reports said there was a mining factory in the area, which was engaged in extraction of lime stone.
“There was a possibility that detonators and gelatin sticks used by the factory for blasting purposes were washed away in the Nullah,” reports said, adding that Katra police have started investigations in the case. A FIR has been registered in connection with the recovery.
