Charges framed against 3 in Divya murder case

JAMMU, Feb 20: In the much publicized Divya Manhas murder case, 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, M K Sharma today framed charges against Vikram Manhas, Rabil Sharma and Yasjeet Singh.
According to the police case, on October 9, 2014 Divya Manhas died due to dactyl morphine (heroine) poisoning. The accused, who are drug peddlers used to supply drugs to various drugs customers including the deceased. Later, because of de-addiction of deceased, the accused had not only lost a customer but were apprehending their exposure at the hands of deceased and in furtherance of conspiracy accused injected heavy dose of heroin in the body of deceased, as a result which she died.
After going through the case and referring various judgments, court framed charges under Section 302/120-B RPC and 8/22 NDPS Act.
