PM attends Mulayam’s grand-nephew Tej Pratap Tilak in Saifai

SAIFAI : Shedding all their political differences,Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a warm welcome by Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad Yadav here today on the occassion of the ‘Tilak’ ceremony of Tej Pratap, grand  nephew of Mulayam.     PM reached  Saifai at 1040 hours enroute Agra and was welcomed at the airstrip by Mulayam himself. UP CM Akhilesh Yadav was also present with his father to welcome the PM.   Later PM was honoured by Mulayam by greeting him with a shawl and Mr Modi chatted with both Mulayam and Lalu sitting by his side on the dias where the Tilak is being held.   It was a rare occasion to witness Lalu kept holding the hand of PM while they were sitting on the dais.   Later all the dignitaries  blessed Tej Pratap, SP MP from Mainpuri, by showering flower petals on him. UP governor Ram Naik was also with the PM.
PM was also seen in jolly mood speaking with the children of the Yadav family and even gave the lensmen opportunity to click with the children. The women members of the Lalu family from Bihar also snapped with PM.
UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s son Arjun was seen talking to PM and even he sat on his lap but later Mulayam took him on his lap.
Lalu’s youngest daughter Raj Laxmi is to we Tej Pratap in New Delhi on February 26.
This would be the first ever opportunity  of the trio Modi- Mulayam-Lalu to come on one dias without any differences.   Several VVIPs arrival were delayed due to the PM’s visit.   Amitabh Bachchan and his family ,who left Mumbai at 0700 hours by a special flight was diverted to Lucknow and now he will reach here by a chopper.
The Tilak ceremony started here at around 1000 hours and it countinued for one hour with traditional and religious fevor.   Former Union minister and RJD leader Raghuvash Prasad Singh, who came from Bihar with Lalu, claimed that this was a rare occusion with all people joining the pre-marriage ceremony.    ‘ History was created in Saifai today with such number of guests including PM,’ he claimed though also said that communal forces would not gain anything in the country.
