Dr Manuj Wadhwa receives 2nd time recognition in Limca Book of Record

JAMMU, Feb 21: Dr  Manuj Wadhwa,  Director & Head, Max Elite Institute of Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement, Mohali , Punjab, has received recognition in the 2015 edition of Limca Book of Records for the second time in a row.
He has won the award for most joint replacements in a week for having performed 114 successful joint replacement surgeries in seven days from June 9 -15, 2014 in a single centre single surgeon series.
He has also won the award for Most joint replacements in least time for having performed 1,001 successful joint replacement surgeries in 102 days from Feb 20, 2014 to June 1, 2014 in a single centre single surgeon series.
This is the second time in a row that his name has featured in the Limca Book of Records. Last year Dr Wadhwa was awarded for having performed the highest number of joint replacement surgeries, 331 in  March 2013 (31 days).
A specialist in Adult Joint Reconstruction Knee, Hip, Elbow and Shoulder Joints, Computer Assisted and CT based surgery in Arthroplasty, Dr Manuj Wadhwa has undergone the prestigious Ranawat Adult Joint Reconstruction Fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, USA with Dr CS Ranawat (surgeon of erstwhile Prime Minister AB Vajpayee) and super-speciality training in joint replacement at USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Paris, Germany and S Korea, AIIMS Delhi, Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai and several other leading hospitals in India and abroad. An M CH from University of Dundee, UK, Dr Wadhwa has operated upon complex joint replacement cases of 17 year olds as well as octogenarians.
