JAMMU, Feb 21: Presiding Officer of Fast Track Court Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of one Raj Singh, who was arrested by the police in rape with 70 years old woman.
After hearing APP GS Charak appearing for the State whereas Advocates Ravinder Sharma and Jasbir Singh Jasrotia appearing for the accused, Presiding Officer Fast Track Court observed, “perusal of the CD file reveals that the case is at initial stage and the offence attributed to the applicant is heinous in nature and is against the society at large”.
“In case the accused is admitted on bail at this stage, he will hamper and tamper with the prosecution evidence”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
