JAMMU, Feb 21: Continuing with spree of developmental work in the Jammu East Constituency, senior BJP leader and MLA-elect Rajesh Gupta today kick-started the work on lanes and drains here at Peepal Wallah Ahata in Kanak Mandi. This was among dozens of works which the newly elected MLA has started in a short span of around two months.
Commissioner Jammu Municipal Council (JMC) Kiran Wattal, Chamber of Commerce President Rakesh Gupta, and Deepak Aggarwal were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Rajesh Gupta assured that he will strive to create an infrastructure which will help in enhancing the facilities and will provide fillip to the much required support system capable of serving the people at their doorsteps. Stressing on the developmental agenda of BJP, Rajesh said that he will not take rest till the time Jammu East Constituency becomes ready to cater to all the needs of its residents and the visitors entering the vicinity as tourists and devotees since the constituency is famous for religious tourism.
The JMC Commissioner said that if people’s representatives work in tandem with administration in a manner by which MLA-elect Rajesh is spearheading the developmental work in this constituency, the days are not far when Jammu is fully geared up with all the edifice required for living with ease.
Chamber president Rakesh Gupta also appreciated the endeavour taken up by MLA Rajesh Gupta in ensuring progress of Jammu East. He assured wholehearted support of Chamber of Commerce in delivering the best to people of this constituency.
Residents of the area also praised MLA-elect for showing keen interest in the development of the Constituency.
