Parliament session to push PDP-BJP dialogue further

JAMMU, Feb 21: The dialogue process between the BJP and PDP leadership has entered into the final phase with the leadership of both parties agreeing to the broad contours of the Common Minimum Program (CMP).
Party sources told EXCELSIOR, “there is broad agreement on most of the contentious issue and the dialogue between the leadership of both parties is likely to be pushed further as senior party functionaries are reaching New Delhi for the winter session of Parliament, which starts from February 23”.
“PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti and BJP State president, Jugal Kishore shall also be reaching the capital tomorrow morning. Most of the MPs from the State, who have been elected to Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are likely to attend the winter session”, sources said adding, “the presence of PDP president is likely to push the dialogue process further with the BJP leadership”.
It is pertinent to mention here that there are six Lok Sabha MPs from the State including Mehbooba Mufti, Muzaffar Hussain Baig, Tariq Hameed Karra (all PDP) and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Jugal Kishore, Thupstan Chewang (all BJP).
Members of Rajya Sabha from the State included Leader of Opposition, Ghulam Nabi Azad (Congress), Shamsher Singh Manhas (BJP), Mir Mohammad Fayaz and Nazir Ahmad Laway (PDP).
