MLA supervises distribution of ration

Kishtwar, Feb 22: In order to ensure hassle free supply of ration to far flung areas of Kishtwar district,  Member Legislative Assembly, from Kishtwar Sunil Sharma supervised the distribution of ration and issued necessary direction to the concerned officers for equi distribution of ration to all areas of the district without consideration of their political affinity.
It was on the initiative of MLA Kishtwar,  Food Corporation of India (FCI) accorded sanction to release of 13000 Qntls of Rice and Atta including free ration quota.
Earlier MLA Kishtwar held a detail meeting with Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department Jammu and discussed with him regarding the problems of shortage of ration in the District including the wide scale embezzlement of ration meant for the people of Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan,  Nagsini and Padder areas.
He also discussed issue of non delivery of Kerosene oil to the people and demanded stern action against the violators of Government order wherein Government has fixed 35 Kg ration scale for each ration card holder. CAPD Director issued immediate order for release of pending ration to Food Corporation of India. He also assured action against the erring officials involved in embezzlement of public ration.
Meanwhile, MLA Kishtwar today directed DC Kishtwar and Assistant Director, CA&PD Kishtwar to take all step with regard to ensure of free flow of ration and other essential commodities during snowfall. MLA also took stock of availability of essentialties and directed them to take tuff action against black markters who were found involved in selling the essentialties at higher rate. He also directed R&B officials to make all arrangements regarding snow clearance for hassle free traffic movement.
At the end of the day MLA Kishtwar also visited District Hospital Kishtwar and to take stock of preparation with regard to arrangements made by the Health Department to tackle the outbreak of Swine flu disease.
