JAMMU, Feb 23: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Balvinder Singh and others regarding recovery of Sales Tax and VAT from all the defaulters, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today directed the State to make recovery in accordance with law.
After hearing Advocate Deewakar Sharma appearing for the PIL, DB observed, “it seems that as on 31.01.2015 huge amount is recoverable from different persons including Public Sector Undertakings”.
