JAMMU, Feb 23: On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj, a Guru Pooja Diwas was celebrated in the premises of Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Shastri Nagar, here today.
A congregation (Satsang) was held which was presided over by Ajit Singh, Zonal Incharge Zone No 1, J&K. While speaking on the occasion, he congratulated all and said that a true master (Satguru) occupies a place of supreme importance in the entire universe.
Generally people relate to him through body, mind, and intellect, but the True Master is a unique entity with whom we have inseparable relationship of soul, he explained. Establishing a link between man and God, he quoted Gita where God has been described as: “Dwelling in every heart, He is beyond darkness, Light of Lights, The object and goal of Knowledge, and knowledge itself”. The aim of religion is to spiritualize society to establish a brotherhood on earth, he said and added, “let us all make most of this Divine Knowledge and tread the path of selfless devotion to enjoy the eternal bliss.
A sewadal rally, games and several cultural items were also organized by Sant Nirankari Sewadal.
Almost 5000 followers of the Mission participated in the celebration, which concluded with a community langar.
