Shop gutted in Surankote

POONCH, Feb 25: Property worth lakhs was destroyed after a shop caught fire in main bazaar at Surankote town last mid night.
Reports said that at around 1.30 am, a night patrol of police noticed smoke coming out of a closed shop in the main market. They informed SDPO Surankote Ajay Sharma and the SHO concerned. The police party rushed to the spot and Fire Brigade men were also informed. The locals and police managed to control the fire by breaking the shutter of the shop. The timely action of police, saved many adjoining shops in the main market. About 30 % of the property was also saved from the affected shop.
The gutted shop belonged to Sajjad Ahmed, son of  Kabir Hussain, resident of Surankote town. He deals in computer parts and mobile phones and parts. Short circuit is said to be the reason behind the incident.
