JKTF accuses Education authorities of stifling voice of aggrieved Masters

JAMMU, Feb 26: Reiterating the demand for suitable adjustment of surplus Masters of Jammu district, the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has strongly criticized the alleged dictatorial attitude of the Education authorities in dealing with the issue.
Addressing a press conference, here today, the JKTF chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani and general secretary Ganesh Khajuria alleged that the aggrieved Masters were not allowed to hold peaceful protest demonstration at the Directorate of School Education premises. “By using Police force, the authorities are trying to crush the democratic right of raising voice against injustice done to the Masters,” Mr Qayoom alleged and announced to further intensify the ongoing struggle.
Ganesh Khajuria informed that the Forum has decided to hold a massive protest demonstration on February 28 near the Press Club Jammu. He appealed the teaching cadre to join hands and forcefully raise the voice against alleged adamant approach of the Education authorities.
The Forum leaders also appealed to the Chief Secretary and Secretary School Education to personally look into the matter and resolve the issue by giving justice to the aggrieved Masters, who have been adjusted in remote areas despite already serving a tenure in far-flung districts.
Others, who were present in the press conference, included Rajinder Gupta, Gopal Singh, Jamat Ali, Darshan Sharma, Subash Sharma, Shankar Singh, Menka Sharma, Anchal Kour, Fouzia, Virinder Sharma, Rajesh Slathia, Rajnish Raina, Manmohan Singh, Raj Kumar Gandotra, Ashwani Khajuria and Deepti Sharma.
