RAJOURI, Feb 26: With an aim to provide helping hand to the people who suffered loss in the recent floods, Kalakote based Rashtriya Rifles battalion today provided material of basic need to the people of a far flung village of Kalakote sub division.
The relief material was distributed in Methyani village of Kalakote which is located at a distance of more than 60 kilometres from district headquarter.
The material was distributed during a programme held in the area in which GoC of Reasi based U Force, BV Rao took part as chief guest while Commanding Officer of the unit and other senior officers were also present there.
After providing relief material of day to day use, which includes blankets, utensil sets among the locals, Army officers assured them that all sort of steps will be taken to help them.
