UDHAMPUR Feb 27:Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, Police today rescued three animals and arrested the smuggler.
Police has also seized the TATA Mobile vehicle, JK02AW-9530, in which the animals were being smuggled to Kashmir.
The vehicle was intercepted by Udhampur Police during routine checking on the National Highway near Jakhani. The bovine animals were rescued and driver of the vehicle namely Farooq of Krimchi was arrested on the spot. Accordingly a case under Section 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
