JAMMU, Feb 27: All J&K Low Paid Government Employees Federation has described the Rail Budget as anti-people and pro-rich.
Reacting to the Rail Budget, LPEF president Abdul Majid Khan while describing the Rail Budget for the year 2015-16 as anti-people said that despite sharp fall in the prices of diesel and petrol, the rail fare has not been decreased. Inspite of decreasing, the Railway Minister has raised the 10% freight charges of essential goods of daily consumption. With the 10% hike in freight charges, the prices of other commodities will also be affected.
Mr Khan said that salaried classes like employees, daily wage workers and pensioners who are already bearing the brunt of price hike will be hit hard with this hike in Rail freight.
