SEOF delegation calls on Director School Education

JAMMU, Feb 28: A delegation of JK School Education Officers /Incharge lecturers Forum, led by its provincial president Amar Nath Thakur, called on Director School Education Jammu and submitted a memorandum of their demands.
The main demands, highlighted in the memorandum, included implementing rational transparent transfer policy, academic monitoring of primary and upper primary schools, creation of HRM cell in the directorate, adjustment of all promoted lecturers and Masters, repatriation of all Lecturers, Headmasters to their home districts who have completed their stay, senior most headmasters be made incharge ZEOs where the post is vacant, conducting detailed enquiry of misuse of GPF of Masters/Techers working under SSA in zone Malhar, release of salary grants under SSA, RMSA and all other heads.
The Forum sought direction to CEOs for submitting the information of Incharge Principals, ZEOs, Lecturers and Headmasters as per performa already issued for regularization.
The delegation also handed over a complete set of suggestions for stream- lining the education system which includes academic suggestions, appointment of PET’s, Moral code for teachers ,appointment of supervisory staff for conducting examination, improving results in board classes, stopping inchargism in the department, creation of separate elementary directorate, monitoring of schools, stopping mass promotion at primary level, rationalization of posts of teaching staff as per the ratio of students etc. Director School Education Jammu after threadbare discussion said that civil society is watching the activities of Education Department and this is the time for all to awake up and teach the poor students honestly for their bright future.
The delegation comprised of O P Katoch, K K Badyal, Dilip Kumar Dhar, Surjit Singh, Tara Mani, Gurdev Singh, Tariq Ahmed Mir, Sat Paul Sharma, Abdhul Rashid and others.
