SAMBA, Feb 28: In order to formulate comprehensive plan for the holistic development of the village Sangwali under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna , DDC Samba Sheetal Nanda today convened a meeting of all concerned district sectoral officers at village Sangwali , which has been selected by Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS in PMO’s Office for development as Model Village.
The meeting was attended by the ADDC Samba Vivek Sharma, ACD Pradeep Manhas, CMO Samba, CAO Samba , DSWO Fareed Ahmad Kohli, GM DIC Satish Sharma besides PRI representatives locals, and -heads of various district and sectoral offices present in the meeting.
The DDC highlighted the features of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana ( SAGY) and said that it is a rural development and cleanliness programme broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social development, cultural development and spread motivation among the people on social mobilization of the village community.
Threadbare discussion was held with the officers , PRI representatives and locals of the village for formulation of well designed plan which caters the need of the local people of the village.
People in large number including Sarpanchs, Panchs also projected their demands and problems pertaining to the availability of drinking water, repairing of roads, up gradation of schools, regular supply of ration, installation of tubewell etc.
The DDC listened to the demands and problems being faced by the people patiently and assured them that all their issues would be redressed.
She impressed upon the Sarpanchs, Panchs and prominent persons to play vital role in their participation in development activities and stressed for monitoring various activities in the village.
She exhorted upon the officers to undertake extensive touring to ensure that benefits of various development and welfare schemes to the deserving beneficiaries timely.
