JAMMU, Feb 28: Demanding continuation of their service, temporary teachers held a strong protest demonstration near the Press Club, here today.
Shouting slogans and carrying banners, the protesting temporary teachers were demanding continuation of their services.
They appealed the proposed Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and his deputy Dr Nirmal Singh to personally look into the matter and address their issue. Both PDP and BJP stress for youth empowerment and it is the time for the Government to come upto the expectations of young generation by conceding to demands like ours, they added.
The protest demonstration was organized under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Temporary Teachers Association- 2014. A large number of temporary teachers took part in the demonstration.
Leaders of the Association, who addressed the protest demonstration, termed their demand most genuine and vowed to continue their struggle.
