JAMMU, Feb 28: MLA Tral Mushtaq Ahmad Shah called on Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today and discussed various issues related to the welfare of people of his constituency.
The MLA requested the DGP for special recruitment of unemployed youth in police force, in view of the backwardness of the area and also requested for strengthening police infrastructure in the area, especially in the newly created administrative units. He discussed social evils like drugs abuse among the youth and requested the DGP for urgent measures to eradicate the menace from the society.
DGP assured the MLA that his request for special recruitment would be considered as and when such drive is initiated. He also assured that the infrastructure would be upgraded to provide better police services to the people of his constituency.
