Bail denied to Sunny Baba

JAMMU, Feb 28: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, Mohan Singh Parihar today rejected the bail application of Sumit alias Sunny Baba, who was facing trial in the much-publicized Supari killing case.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate Ashwani Khajuria appearing for the accused whereas APP for the State, 1st Additional Sessions Judge observed, “keeping in view the involvement of the accused in the offences under Sections 302, 120-B, 109 RPC, the accused is not entitled to bail and thus his application for bail is dismissed”.
“However, the jail authorities are directed to take the accused under police escort to PGI Chandigarh/AIIMS Delhi, as advised by the doctors of GMC, Jammu, for special tests—. Endoscopy and Colonoscopy and for other necessary medical treatment”, the court said, adding a copy of this order be sent to Superintendent, Central Jail Kote Bhalwal and SSP Jammu for compliance.
