JAMMU, Mar 1: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Jammu organized All Religions Peace Symposium on loyalty and love for one’s nation, in which hundreds of people belonging to different religion, faith and sects participated.
The programme was presided over by Moulana Muhammad Hameed Kosar, All India Secretary Muslim Jamat Ahmadiyya. Justice JP Singh, retd Judge of J&K High Court was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof NK Resutra, Chairman, J&K Board of School Education was guest of honour. Amit Sharma, Special Secretary shared the presidium as special guest. The scholars of Hinduism, Jainism, Islam and Sikhism namely Prof Vishwa Murti Shastri, SK Jain, Moulana Abdul Aleem Aftab and Ragi Daljeet Singh respectively also shared the presidium.
In his welcome address, Gohar Hafeez Fani highlighted Ahmadiyya Muslim Community’s contribution to the society irrespective of the religion, caste or creed.
While addressing the gathering, Justice JP Singh stressed for holding such programmes and interactive sessions so that peace and harmony is established in the society.
Prof Vishwa Murti Shastri, SK Jain, Moulana Abdul Aleem Aftab and Ragi Daljeet Singh highlighted the peace loving teaching regarding loyalty and love for one’s nation as enshrined by their respective religion tenets and called upon the humanity at large to get united for restoration of peace all over the world.
In his presidential address Moulana Muhammad Hameed Kosar said that Islam is a religion of love and affected. He said that community would continue to propagate the message of love and harmony in order to establish a peaceful and healthy society.
SC Rekhi, Dr Vikram Gulati, Prof Ajeet Angral and Prof Usha Tikkoo also expressed their views.
On the occasion, several social workers and public spirited officers were felicitated for their contribution towards the society.
