JAMMU, Mar 6: A man was killed while his companion was injured in a road mishap occurred at Satwari area of City outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a mini-bus bearing registration No JK02AK-9281 coming from Bari Brahamana to Jammu hit a scooter bearing registration No JK02H-3973 near Satwari, yesterday morning. In the mishap, one of the occupants of the scooter namely Babu Ram son of Puran Chand of Sakinderpur died on the spot while the other identified as Surinder Kumar son of Om Prakash of Sakinderpur received serious injuries.
On getting information, a police team led by SHO Satwari, Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for treatment while the body of the deceased was handed over to its legal heirs after conducting autopsy at GMCH.
In this regard, a case FIR No 40/2015 under section 279/337/304 A RPC was registered at police station Satwari and investigations started.
