POONCH, Mar 7: The Police nabbed two drug-peddlers and recovered 400 gms of charas from their possession here today.
Official sources said that a police party led by DySP Operations Poonch, Sheezan Bhat under the supervision SSP Poonch J S Johar and ASP, Amit Gupta nabbed two youth from Poonch town in a swift operation and recovered total 400 gms high quality charas.
The accused were identified as Aijaz Ahmed, son of Mumtaz Hussain, resident Lathung in Surankote and Mohd Zaffar, son of Mohd Arif, resident of Bandi Chechiyan in Poonch. A case FIR No. 46/2015 was registered against them. They used to sell this stuff to the local youth.
This is the third major recovery of narcotics by the Poonch police after the recovery of 56 kg heroin and one kilogram brown sugar from Mendhar area.
