ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE
The University of Kashmir and the University of Jammu are two premier State Universities in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and are institutes of excellence in the field of Higher learning and Research. The two Universities are required to appoint an Ombudsman on part time basis for redressal of various grievances in terms of the University Grants Commission (Grievance Redressal) Regulations; 2012 notified in Gazette of India March, 2013.
A search Committee has been constituted in this regard and applications along with detailed resume are invited from retired Judges not below the rank of a District Judge or retired Professors with at least 10 years experience as such, for appointment as Ombudsman, on part time basis, in the University of Jammu and University of Kashmir. The applicant should not be more than 67 years of age as on 01-04-15. The terms and conditions of eligibility as well as appointment shall be strictly governed by the University Grants Commission (Grievance Redressed) Regulations, 2012. The said guidelines are available on the UGC portal as well as portal of the Higher Education Department J&K (www.jkhighereducation.nic.in).
