JAMMU, Mar 9: Migrant Teachers Welfare Association (MTWA) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president, Ramesh Raina to discuss various issues regarding the Welfare of Migrant Employees, here today.
The president of the Association appealed the Director Funds to maintain the computerized GPF records of the migrant employees analogous to other employees of the State, adding that there are numerous faults in the records of these employees.
The Association reiterated its demand of adjustment of migrant masters and lecturers in migrant institutions instead of posting them at other places as there is dearth of subject teachers in these institutions.
The general secretary of the Association appealed the Government not to discriminate with migrant education employees and institutions, saying that these institutions are not provided with sufficient infrastructure like chairs, benches, laboratory and allied material etc.
They also appealed the Govt for releasing pending 17 percent Daily Allowance (DA) of the State employees.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Mano Ji Pandita, R Bhagati, Deepak Raj, Ramesh Padroo, Vinod Bhasin and Satish Bhat.
