AIADMK demands removal of Mufti govt in J&K

NEW DELHI : The AIADMK today demanded removal of the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed government in Jammu and Kashmir for releasing a separatist leader and crediting terrorists and Pakistan for peaceful elections in the state. Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, AIADMK’s Anwhar Raajhaa slammed the J&K Chief Minister. He said the Centre’s statement in Parliament over release of mastermind behind 2010 stone pelting protests, Masarat Alam, from jail has not satisfied anybody.
“We urge upon the Centre to remove the Mufti government as it is working against the integrity of the country,” Mr Raajhaa said.
Yesterday, expressing anguish over Alam’s release, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured the Lok Sabha that his government will not compromise with the unity and integrity of the country.
The BJP is a partner in the Jammu and Kashmir government. (AGENCIES)
