Self attestation of documents

Sir,
Dr. Jatindra Singh, Minister of Personnel-Public Grievances and Pensions, Govt. of India during last year had issued an order that an applicant can submit his certificates/ documents self attested for a job. He/she does not have to go to Gazetted Officer for attestation of documents. Unfortunately in J&K State, all advertisements of the State Govt./Central Govt./KV Schools etc. for jobs ask candidates to submit documents attested by a Gazetted Officer. Is it that the above order has not been implemented by J&K Govt. The concerned Minister/ Commissioner of the Govt. is requested to issue necessary orders so that the applicants do not have to search for a Gazetted Officer from one pillar to another for attestation of documents wasting precious time for preparation for tests/interviews etc. Hope the officers at the helm of affairs shall issue orders.
