Training session for new J-K MLAs on Mar 15

JAMMU:
The newly elected first-time legislators of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly will undergo a orientation programme on March 15 in order to be well acquainted with legislative practices and procedures.
“Ahead of the budget session commencing from 18th of March, the first time legislators will be undergoing an orientation course at Institute of Management and Public Administration (IMPA) on 15th March to receive detailed information about the functioning of the Legislative Assembly/ Council”, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Ahmad Bukhari said.
They will also be familiarised with the operational mechanism, business rules, Assembly and Council traditions, conventions and conduct.
Bukhari said that in order to familiarise the new entrants with the legislative proceedings, it has been decided to conduct a training session for them ahead of the budget session.
He said former MLAs and other experts will help the members in this endeavour. (AGENCIES)
