Pathania reviews developmental schemes, projects

Udhampur, Mar 10:  While reviewing various developmental schemes and projects pertaining to Ramnagar Assembly segment with district/tehsil/block level officers of various line departments and agencies of Udhampur district and affording public hearing in ‘Janta darbar’ at Village Khoon of Majalta Tehsil, R. S. Pathania, MLA Ramnagar, has emphasized for greater focus on has stressed on all the departments and government agencies to evolve a public-friendly approach while initiating various developmental schemes and projects.
After a detailed discussion on working of various departments, Mr. Pathania directed various departments to complete road-projects, buildings, public utilities, laying of electricity and drinking water lines within the stipulated time-period.
Mr Pathania directed the Executive Engineer of Road and Buildings Department immediately start work on Manwal-Pingar, Mansar-Sehal, Nanoti Nalllah, Thail-Chountara Mata road projects.
He also directed Tehsildar and other Revenue officials to process all the left over cases of relief and immediately effect intikals/girdawaris of land-holdings and finalize and approve cases under ROSHNI.
Mr. Pathania asked Power Development Department (PDD) to keep check on unscheduled power-cuts and provide smooth power supply. Besides, Tehsil Supply Officer of CAPD Department was directed to ensure timely distribution of good quality ration to the people of the area.
On the occasion, the MLA Ramnagar informed people that road connecting Udhampur and Billawar will soon be announced as National Highway by the Central Government. Also, the declaration of Degree College at Majalta is on the near cards.
He also issued instructions to Agriculture, Horticulture and Floriculture departments to initiate awareness programmes and publicity campaigns to propagate various schemes and initiatives of the departments so that field – wise progress in various sectors is achieved and economic condition of the farmers’ community is also achieved side-by-side.
