JAMMU, Mar 11: To monitor and implement the safeguards for linguistic minorities in the State, the Government has accorded sanction for constitution of committees at State and district level.
The State level committee, headed by Chief Secretary as the Chairman, will comprise of Administrative Secretaries of Home, School Education, Tourism & Culture, Social Welfare Department and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
Similarly, the District level committees will be headed by the respective District Development Commissioner and comprised of concerned CEO, CMO, District Social Welfare Officers and representative of the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
