AKHNOOR, Mar 13: A symposium on “Truth & Non-violence” was organised at Govt Degree College, Khour in district Jammu today.
The programme was organised in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family by the College authorities. Several students of the College participated in the programme and spoke on Gandhiji’s philosophy of  truth and non-violence which is more relevant today.
Principal of the Degree College Khour, Prof ( Dr) P K Sharma while addressing the students about  Gandhiji’s gospels of truth and non-violence, urged the students to follow these ideals in life. He elaborated on the contribution of Gandhi Global Family towards promotion of world peace  and stressed upon the students  to read more from the life of Gandhi ji to create such a society which honours everyone irrespective of  one’s caste, colour, culture or creed. “
A total 13 students from the college participated in the symposium in which Raveena Rani of BA- Semester II, Priya Sharma from BA-Part II and Gulshan Kumar from BA Semester-II claimed first, second and third positions, respectively.
The proceedings were conducted by Sonia ( Lect in English) while Dr K R Sharma NSS Programme Officer, presented vote of thanks.
