Kohli inspects Inter State Bus Terminal, Bus Stand

JAMMU, Mar 13: Minister of State for Transport, Rural Development and Horticulture, Abdul Ghani Kohli has directed the transport authorities to ensure that all Inter State Buses  ply from Inter State Bus Terminal, Narwal.
These instructions were given by the Minister during his inspection of Inter State Bus Terminal, Narwal, Bus Stand  B. C. Road and Regional Transport Office (RTO) Transport Nagar.
The Minister while taking stock of these sites, directed the concerned to maintain close coordination with the various tour and travel agencies and ensure plying of Interstate buses  from ISBT , Narwal within a fortnight. He said  this facility will help  to  deliver  better services and ease  the traffic congestion  around the general bus stand and its adjoining areas.
The Minister directed RTO Jammu to prepare a comprehensive plan for construction of shed on modern lines in the RTO office to facilitate general public, transporters during the rains and summer season.
Transport Commissioner Dilshada Khan, Vice Chairman Jammu Development Authority (JDA), Mubarak Singh, Managing Director, State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) J. S. Tandan, Joint Transport Commissioner, G.A  Sofi, RTO, Jammu A. K. Khajuria and other officers of JDA, Transport and  SRTC accompanied the Minister during his visit.
