Army distributes temporary driving licenses to students

SRINAGAR, Mar 13: Rashtriya Rifle unit of Sogam, Gujjarpatti distributed temporary driving licences to students of driving class.
A total of thirteen youth from Lolab Valley were selected for the capsule, trained under experts and closely monitored by the unit.
As part of four weeks programme of driving training at Kupwara Driving School, they were imparted training on all aspects of driving like road safety regulations, basic maintenance of vehicles and driving of Sumo in varied rush of traffic.
After some more driving experience these local youths will be able to apply for permanent license and earn their living.
Events like driving classes in far flung area of Lolab will not only constructively engage local youth who have been deprived of job opportunities courtesy the existing circumstances in the State but also keep them away from nefarious activities.
