Raipur-Domana to be developed as model constituency: Bali

JAMMU, Mar 14: Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecological & Environment, Bali Bhagat today said that the Government will implement all the welfare schemes in a most transparent manner to ensure their benefits to the needy. He said the administration will be made more responsive and accountable to the people to achieve the discernible results on ground.
Addressing a series of public meetings in Raipur-Domana constituency today, the Minister said that the Government is aware about the problems of the people of rural areas and serious efforts would be made to address these on fast-track basis. He said Government’s main focus will be to develop and strengthen the basic infrastructure to provide better facilities to the people. He asked the people to bring their problems in his notice in the form of representations so that these are addressed appropriately in a shortest possible time.
In order to provide hassle- free pension to various categories under social schemes, he said the procedure has been simplified and in order to facilitate the beneficiaries the department will reach out to the people and camps will be organised to complete the formalities. Now the beneficiaries need not to approach the offices of Social Welfare and other departments for completing the formalities, rather the department will do that, said the Minister.
Maintaining that PDP-BJP regime has worked out people friendly Common Minimum Programme (CMP) based on fulfilling the development aspirations of the common man, Mr. Bhagat said that the administration will focus on the agenda and make the administration visible on ground. The present regime will prove best in the history of Jammu and Kashmir and people will remember its result oriented performance.  He asked the people to maintain close liaison with the administration to avail the benefits of various programmes.
Promising to develop the Raipur-Domana as model constituency, the Minister said that this segment remained neglected by the previous regimes and all out efforts would made to strengthen the essential infrastructure, like road network, electricity, drinking water, education, health services and sanitation facilities for the convenience of the people.
At village Saari Rakwal, Block Marh, the Minister laid foundation works of lane and drain to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 lakh by the Rural Development Department.
