Rotary Gift of Life screening camp held

RAJOURI, Mar 15:  Poor children suffering from Congenital Heart Diseases (CHD) were screened in the initial screening camp held today in Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Rotary Gift of Life (Delhi NCR) facilitated the free screening camp hosted by Rotary Club of Rajouri.
Patients up to the age of 18 years from below poverty line from different areas of J&K were registered in this camp.
Chief Coordinator of the camp, K. K Langer said that more than 150 patients were screened initially and have been registered for free surgery in New Delhi.
The team of doctors who screened the patients included Dr. Vivek Gandotra, Dr. K.R. Sangra, Dr. Mahesh Chander Gupta, Dr. Shakhambri Sharma and Dr. Deepak.
Medical Superintendent, Dr. Younis provided all the required facilities to run the camp effectively under the directions of Director Health Services, Jammu, B.S. Pathania, Jyoti Sharma and Alok Nanda volunteered their services as coordinators of the camp. Dedicated team of Members from different Rotary Clubs of J&K were also present in the screening camp.
Initial screening camps were also held at Udhampur and Kathua. In Srinagar, Initial Screening Camp shall be held on March 20, 2015 at G B Pant Hospital.
The registered patients from all over the State will be screened finally on March 28, 2015 at Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu by renowned doctors from reputed Heart Institutes of New Delhi for free surgery.
