JPPF celebrates 169th Foundation Day of J&K

JAMMU, Mar 16: Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF), a united voice of public of Jammu Province, celebrated 169th Foundation/Raising Day of Jammu and Kashmir State today under the presidentship of Pavitar Singh retd. Session Judge by paying floral tributes to Maharaja Gulab Singh the first ruler of the J&K State.
“Raja Gulab Singh signed the Treaty of Lahore on March 9, 1946 and Treaty of Amritsar on March 16, 1846 and was recognized as absolute Ruler and Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir by the Treaty of Amritsar. Hence the vast landmass of Jammu and Kashmir came into existence as an empire on March 16, 1846,” informed working president of the Forum M S Katoch,
