JAMMU, Mar 16: Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), an internationally known premier Institute for training and research in Mass Communication under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced admission to various Post Graduate Diploma courses in English and Hindi Journalism, Radio and Television Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations.
These courses would be undertaken in various centres setup by IIMC in the country and the entrance examination at all India level would be conducted on May 31 at notified centres including Jammu and Srinagar.
The overall performance of Jammu centre setup in 2012-13 is excellent as far as academic results are concerned. One of the students of Ist batch of Jammu Centre, namely Sugam Singhal was declared the overall topper among all the six centres of IIMC across the country during session 2012-13. Similarly, the students of 2nd batch of Jammu centre during session 2013-14 have brought laurels to centre by bagging four positions out of Ist six in English Journalism. Avantika Gupta secured first position, Sumedha Sharma, Kritika Joshi and Megha Sharma stood third, fourth and sixth among six centres across the country level. Students of Jammu Centre have good placement record also.
