BANGKOK, Mar 18: The Thai economy is expected to show annual growth of 3.0 percent in the first quarter, and growth is expected to be in the range of 3.5-4.0 percent for 2015, cabinet secretary Ampon Kittiampon told a news briefing after a meeting of economic ministers.
Faster government spending and a strong performance by the tourism sector were key factors in the estimate of first quarter growth, said Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB).
