Class 8th paper postponed after leakage; 2 suspended

JAMMU, Mar 18:  Following alleged leakage of class 8th paper, Directorate of School Education has ordered postponement of T-2 language paper besides suspension of a Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of an examination centre at a school in Udhampur district.
The Director also has also initiated  an enquiry into the alleged leakage of question paper and  asked Principal DIET Udhampur to get an FIR registered in this connection with the local Police.
The envelope along with seal of  language question paper (Hindi/Urdu) belonging to series ‘A’ was found opened in centre number 109 B, Government High School Larh, Zone Ghordi in Udhampur district.
Taking serious notice of the possible leakage of question paper, which was scheduled to be held tomorrow, the Director School Education, Simrandeep Singh ordered postponement of the language paper. The said paper has been now rescheduled to be held on March 23.
Besides, the Director also ordered the suspension of Master Amarjeet Singh, who was Superintendent in the said centre and Teacher Sham Lal, Assistant Superintendent, with immediate effect.
Field Officer SIE Jammu, Om Parkash shall conduct an enquiry into the matter and furnish his report within 10 days.
