JAMMU, Mar18: Danesh Rana, has assumed the charge of Inspector General of Police, Jammu today. An IPS of 96 batch Mr Rana has held various assignment in J&K in different wings of police. Before taking charge he was given a briefing by the outgoing IGP Jammu Zone Rajesh Kumar- Danesh Rana also had informal interaction with all the gazetted officers as well as other staff of Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu. The new IGP Jammu Zone also took a round of ZPHQ and issued certain instructions.
