JAMMU, Mar 18: To review the progress and give further boost to the membership campaign, Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha organized a meeting presided over by Rashim Dhar Sood, Morcha National Vice President & National Prabhari of Membership drive, in presence of State general secretary (org.) Ashok Koul, Minister of State & Mahila Morcha State President Priya Sethi, Morcha Prabhari Purnima Sethi, BJP State Secretary Rajni Sethi, Morcha Vice-President Neeru Anand, Morcha general secretaries, Anuradha Charak and Anju Dogra.
BJP general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, while speaking on the occasion, said that this is one of the major membership drive BJP has undertaken ever in Jammu and Kashmir and entire cadre of the BJP is fully dedicated to this membership drive resulting into the massive response from the section of the society.
Koul said, “As far as women cadre of State BJP is concerned, it also is in tune to make this membership drive a grand success and I am sure that BJP Mahila Morcha J&K will enroll record of members to BJP in this ongoing membership drive”.
Rashim Sood, in her address, said, “The progress that has been made till date sets new targets for the senior members of the Morcha”. Encouraging the participants, she said, “Women have a lot of power and she personally managed to add over 2000 members”. She also shared the Himachal Pradesh membership status where even though the target was 3 lakh but Mahila Morcha wing managed to cross it.
Priya Sethi called upon the Mahila Morcha cadre not to let up the continued efforts and make such drive a big success in Jammu and Kashmir so J&K membership drive become one of the biggest event in political history of entire nation. She stressed on need to visit each and every basti in order to make Mahila Morcha more stronger in J&K.
Details regarding the progress were sought and new ideas were also discussed and new targets were set for each booth. In total there are 419 booths in Jammu region and we need at least 100 in each booth, it was told.
BJP and Mahila Morcha leaders including Purnima Sharma, Sushma Manhas, Updesh Andotra, Neeru Anand, Anuradha Charak, Anju Dogra, Shakun Sethi, Sangeeta Anand, Sureshta Jamwal, Usha Sharma, Sanjita Dogra, Bimla Padha, Sangita Gupta, Parveen Arora, Sushma Gupta, Santosh Bhagat, Rekha Mahajan and others attended this meeting.
