MENDHAR, Mar 19: Ten persons including some students, were injured as a Tata Sumo skidded of the road and fell into a gorge near Galuta in Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch this afternoon.
Reports said that the accident occurred when the vehicle No. JK-12/ 1681 was on way to Mendhar from Keri Galuta. As it reached near Idgah at the village, due to brake failure the vehicle went out of control and fell into a small gorge.
Ten persons received injuries and all the accident victims were removed to Mendhar Sub District Hospital. Six were discharged after providing first aid by the Medical staff. Four admitted to hospital are, Naseem Akhtar, Kaneez Akhtar, Shehnaz Akhtar and Rakia Bi, all residents of Keri Galuta.
