Natrang stages ‘Entertainment Unlimited’

JAMMU, Mar 22: Natrang in its Sunday theatre series presented a gut-busting hilarious comedy in Hindustani “Entertainment Unlimited”, written by Dr Chandrasekhar Phansalkar and directed by Anil Tickoo.
Unlike all comedies, ‘Entertainment Unlimited’ focuses on contra factual thinking that leads to a state of mind where negative feelings lead to dark zone and that feeling is sustained for a moment only to feel the immense relief of finding that all the thoughts are unreal.
The story revolves around the life of blind men whose life is full of atrocities especially when they have not been blind since birth and have seen various colours and varieties of life. In such situations the sudden darkness is very depressing.
The story talks about four such blind men who have not been blind by birth and find it frustrating to deal with the injustice in their lives. In order to cope with the frustration, one of them decides to establish a club only for blind men. This club believes in the idea of living life to the fullest with the help of dreamy thoughts.
The play is seen through a kaleidoscopic reality that uses imagination as a tool to make life interesting. They take momentarily relief from the mundanity of life by being imaginative. The stage action begins when the fourth blind joins the club and is subjected to hell lot of experiments by the rest of three to drive entertainment unlimited.
The actors who performed in the play were Pawan Verma, Mahikshit Singh, Rajan Thakyal, Mudassir Ail and Pankaj Verma. The lights and music were done by Neeraj Kant and Anil Tickoo, respectively. Sumeet Sharma did the presentations while the show was coordinated by Aarushi Thakur.
