JAMMU, Mar 23: A youth was injured in a mysterious blast near his house at village Khablan under the jurisdiction of Thannamandi police station in Rajouri district.
He has been identified as Mohammad Farid, 25, son of Abdul Aziz, a resident of Khablan.
Reports said the youth was burning scrap outside his house at Khablan at 3.30 pm today when an explosion took place causing him injuries.
Police parties from Thannamandi police station led by SHO Nazir Ahmad rushed to the spot and shifted the victim to District Hospital, Rajouri from where he was referred to the Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu.
Police teams have collected splinters and were examining nature of the blast. They said the investigations would reveal as to which object caused the blast and how it reached with the injured.
