Army Commander reviews situation

JAMMU, Mar 23: A top Army commander today reviewed security situation in Samba-Kathua sector of Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of twin terror attacks in the region.
Western Command Chief Lt Gen KJ Singh rushed to the sector and also held a meeting over post-terror attack security setup in Army units.
“Gen Singh arrived in Samba Army formation today. He held meeting over the post terror attack security setup in Army units in the sector close to International Border,” a security official said today.
He met troops and complimented them for the clean operation in which two militants were killed.
Sources said that Gen Singh has complimented the troops for the operation and patted them in bid to raise their morale.
Gen Singh got briefing from the commanders about the reports that one militant had escaped from the encounter.
“He has come himself to get briefing from top officers over the issue,” they said.
