300 farmers participate in Krishi darshan

JAMMU, Mar 23: About 300 farmers from district Poonch and Kathua participated in the Krishi darshan exposure visit at SKUAST, Chatha, today.
During the exposure visit the farmers were shown advance technology adopted by the SKUAST in the areas of vegetable cultivation, integrated farming system, protective cultivation, micro-irrigation seminar, seed processing plant, video films on advance technology adopted by other states in Dogri language, lecture by experts.
Speaking on the occasion, A K Malhotra, Joint Director Agriculture said that under Krishi darshan programme exposure of latest technology shall be given to 1600 number of farmers from all the district of Jammu division and as on date 500 number of farmers has been covered under the event.
K S Risam, Director Extension SKUAST made all arrangement and involved scientists of the SKUAST for giving effective exposure of the latest technology to the farming community.
