JAMMU, Mar 23: A drug peddler was nabbed along with large quantity of intoxicants from Saari area, falling under the jurisdiction of Pounichak police post.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Pounichak police post laid a naka at Saari and intercepted a person moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 6098 intoxicant capsules from his possession and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Suresh Kumar, son of Kartar Chand of Partha Katra, at present Hazuri Bagh, Talab Tillo.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Pounichak police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Pounichak SI Gurvinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Jai Pal Sharma, SDPO Domana Sanjay Parihar, SP Rural Rajive Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
