THAPKOUR, (HP), Mar 25: World Tuberculosis Day was observed worldwide at Vaishno College of Engineering,(VCE) today.
A team from Zonal Hospital, Dharamshala selected Vaishno College of Engineering as a medium to spread awareness about Tuberculosis in the institution as well as in nearby areas. The team presented forth a documentary on this deadly disease to the students, faculty and management of Vaishno College of Engineering.
This was followed by an informative speech given by Dr R K Sood (District Programme Officer, Zonal Hospital, Dharmshala). He talked about the latest technological advancements in the treatment of Tuberculosis.
The facts and figures presented, evidently shows that there has been a steep decline in the number of cases of tuberculosis over the last few years.
A poster making competition was conducted among the students. The winners of the competition were awarded and appreciated for their unique ideas.
Lt Col A K Khajuria, Principal, Vaishno College of Engineering thanked the Zonal Hospital team and presented the memento.
