JAMMU, Mar 27: Accusing the coalition Government of administering the most obnoxious doze of discrimination to Jammu region, Harshdev Singh, JKNPP chairman and former Minister today lambasted the BJP leadership for surrendering Rs 1600 crore AIIMS to Kashmir that was actually announced for Jammu region.
Dispelling the misleading impressions being created by certain political parties and carried in a section of media that AIIMS was sanctioned for Kashmir, Harshdev Singh said that the Union Minister on February 28, 2015 in New Delhi had categorically and in very unequivocal terms announced its establishment in Jammu. He said that the Finance Ministry’s announcement was explicitly conveyed to the State and carried in various daily newspapers in their daily editions of March 1, 2015.
Addressing media persons today, Harshdev Singh said that the announcement having made by two Union Ministers including Union Finance Minister on Feb 28 2015 in New Delhi, it was shocking to note as to how the BJP partnered Government in J&K and allowed the prestigious project to be transferred to Kashmir.
Condemning the BJP for its Machiavellian politics, Harshdev Singh said that the Saffron Party already having made an ideological retreat on several issues, its betrayal of Jammu region has assumed monstrous proportions with its shameless surrender on AIIMS issue.
He regretted that in its desperation to become a junior partner in PDP Government, the BJP has not only sacrificed its age old ideology and solemn pledges but indulged in the most deceptive and obnoxious deal by bartering away the interests and aspirations of Jammu region.
He said that JKNPP would start its protests and demonstrations against the highly mischievous designs of coalition Government and for restoration of AIIMS to Jammu from tomorrow onwards.
